...Forecast flooding changed to Minor severity and increased in
duration for the following rivers in Texas...

  Caney Creek near Splendora affecting Harris and Montgomery
  Counties.

For the Caney Creek...including Splendora...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Caney Creek near Splendora.

* WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins as water
  begins to spill into the pasture on the left downstream bank.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 17.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 AM CDT Saturday was 22.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    this afternoon and continue falling to 5.2 feet Thursday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    17.9 feet on 05/18/1989.
