This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Strong northwest winds will develop across the outlook area
today. Sustained speeds near 30 MPH and gusts near 45 MPH are

This afternoon, the strong winds and low relative humidity values
will result in near critical to critical fire weather conditions
for areas south of a line from Beaver City Nebraska to Mankato
Kansas. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for north central Kansas,
where the greatest risk exists. Please refer to the latest Red
Flag Warning message for additional information.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

On Wednesday afternoon, near-critical fire weather conditions are
likely, primarily south of a line from Cambridge Nebraska to
Beloit Kansas. This is due to the combination of northwest winds
gusting around 30 MPH and relative humidity values as low as
20 to 25 percent.


Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
