EASTWARD ACROSS THE SOUTH PLAINS...SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE...AND
THE ROLLING PLAINS. RAINFALL RATES WILL GENERALLY BE LIGHT UP TO
ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH PER HOUR EXCEPT IN HEAVIER SHOWERS WHERE
RAINFALL RATES OVER ONE INCH PER HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE. DESPITE
LIGHT RAINFALL...LOCALIZED FLOODING WILL STILL BE POSSIBLE AS
SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA
WHERE THE SOIL IS ALREADY SATURATED. IN ADDITION TO RAIN...PATCHY
FOG WILL BE POSSIBLE ESPECIALLY IN RURAL AREAS AND MAY REDUCE
VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN 5 MILES AT TIMES. CAUTION SHOULD BE USED
WHEN COMMUTING TODAY.

RATES UP TO 3/4 INCH PER HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED WHILE HEAVIER
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE RAIN RATES OVER 2 INCHES PER
HOUR. THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CREATE FLOODING ESPECIALLY IN LOW
LYING AREAS. IN ADDITION TO HEAVY RAINFALL...PATCHY FOG MAY REDUCE
VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN 5 MILES AT TIMES. CAUTION SHOULD BE USED
