.NOW...
As of 1245 pm...showers were rapidly developing across the central
South Plains from just southwest of Abernathy to the northwest
Loop in Lubbock to west of Slaton to south of Wilson. These
showers will likely increase in coverage and intensity through 2
pm. Gusty winds to 30 mph and brief rainfall up to 1/4 inch can be
expected as they drift southwest around 5 mph. Some lightning may
develop with these cells as they strengthen.
