At 757 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated training heavy rain showers that were continuously redeveloping across portions of the NC Sandhills and coastal plain. As much as 1 to 1.25 inches has fallen near Boonie Doone and Ft. Bragg over the past hour. Heavy rain and minor flooding will be possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Fayetteville, Goldsboro, Raeford, Fort Bragg, Fremont, Walnut Creek, Godwin, Pope AFB, Antioch and Hope Mills. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in ponding of water on roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and minor flooding of creeks, streams, and areas of poor drainage.
