STRONG SOUTHWEST TO WEST WIND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE EARLY
EVENING AS A DRY COLD FRONT MOVES EAST ACROSS THE AREA. SOUTHWEST TO
WEST WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH...WILL BE COMMON...WITH GUSTS OF 50 TO 55
MPH...WITH LOCALIZED GUSTS AROUND 60 MPH IN FAVORED LOCATIONS.

AS OF 430 PM...THE WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ADVISES NO
LIGHT TRAILER TRAFFIC DUE TO WIND SPEEDS ABOVE 50 MPH ON HIGHWAY 20
26 BETWEEN CASPER AND SHOSHONI AND ALONG INTERSTATE 25 THROUGH
NATRONA COUNTY.

VERY STRONG WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY THIS
EVENING ALONG THE EAST SLOPE OF THE WIND RIVER MOUNTAINS AND AT TIMES
IN THE LANDER FOOTHILLS. EXPECT CONTINUED WEST TO SOUTHWEST WIND 30
TO 40 MPH...WITH GUSTS OF 55 TO 65 MPH IN THE FOOTHILLS AND
OVER THE EAST SIDE OF SOUTH PASS. WIND GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH WILL
WILL ALSO CONTINUE IN THE LANDER FOOTHILLS THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING
HOURS.. TRAVELLERS SHOULD BE ALERT AND PREPARED TO ENCOUNTER VERY
STRONG AND ERRATIC WINDS THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. WINDS ARE EXPECTED
TO DECREASE BETWEEN 7 PM AND 9 PM.

AROUND 50 MPH. WINDS WILL WEAKEN THROUGH THE EVENING AND SHIFT MORE
NORTHWEST TO NORTH...AS A COLD FRONT SLIDES SOUTH ACROSS JOHNSON
COUNTY.

THROUGH EARLY EVENING...STRONG WEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE
EASTERN SLOPES OF THE ABSAROKA MOUNTAINS...AND ADJACENT CODY
FOOTHILLS. AREAS OF STRONG CROSSWIND WILL BE ENCOUNTERED PRIMARILY
ALONG HIGHWAY 120 THIS EVENING. A FEW AREAS WHERE THE CROSSWIND
WILL BE STRONGEST WILL BE...NEAR CODY LANDFILL ROAD SOUTH OF CODY...
IN THE VICINITY OF CLARK...AND NEAR THE JUNCTION OF CHIEF JOSEPH
HIGHWAY AND HIGHWAY 120. EXPECT OCCASIONAL STRONG WIND GUSTS NEAR 60
MPH IN THESE LOCATIONS.  LIGHTWEIGHT AND HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS IF TRAVELING THROUGH THESE AREAS THIS
EVENING.
