THROUGH 8 PM...STRONG WEST WIND OF 25 TO 35 MPH WILL BE COMMON...
WITH GUSTS OF 50 TO 55 MPH...WITH LOCALIZED GUSTS AROUND 60 MPH IN
FAVORED LOCATIONS. THE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO WEAKEN BETWEEN 8 PM
AND 10 PM TONIGHT.

AS OF 630 PM...THE WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ADVISES NO
LIGHT TRAILER TRAFFIC DUE TO WIND SPEEDS ABOVE 50 MPH ON HIGHWAY 20
26 BETWEEN CASPER AND SHOSHONI...AND ALONG INTERSTATE 25 THROUGH
NATRONA COUNTY.

THROUGH 8 PM...VERY STRONG WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE
ALONG THE EAST SLOPE OF THE WIND RIVER MOUNTAINS AND AT TIMES IN THE
LANDER FOOTHILLS. EXPECT CONTINUED WEST TO SOUTHWEST WIND OF 30 TO 40
MPH...WITH GUSTS OF 55 TO 65 MPH IN THE FOOTHILLS AND OVER THE EAST
SIDE OF SOUTH PASS. WIND GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH WILL WILL ALSO
CONTINUE IN THE LANDER FOOTHILLS. TRAVELLERS SHOULD BE ALERT AND
PREPARED TO ENCOUNTER VERY STRONG AND ERRATIC WINDS. WINDS ARE
EXPECTED TO DECREASE BETWEEN 8 PM AND 10 PM.

STRONG WEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE OVER PORTIONS OF THE ABSAROKA
MOUNTAINS...AND ADJACENT CODY FOOTHILLS...BUT WILL BE GRADUALLY
WEAKENING AS THE EVENING PROGRESSES. AREAS OF STRONG CROSSWIND WILL
BE ENCOUNTERED PRIMARILY ALONG HIGHWAY 120 THIS EVENING BETWEEN CODY
AND CLARK. A FEW AREAS WHERE THE CROSSWIND WILL BE STRONGEST WILL
BE...IN THE VICINITY OF CLARK...AND NEAR THE JUNCTION OF CHIEF JOSEPH
HIGHWAY AND HIGHWAY 120. EXPECT OCCASIONAL STRONG WIND GUSTS NEAR 60
MPH IN THESE LOCATIONS. LIGHTWEIGHT AND HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS IF TRAVELING THROUGH THESE AREAS THIS EVENING.
