.DISCUSSION...+

Clouds quickly build in late this morning, with ceilings around
1500 to 2500 feet, though they should increase through the
afternoon.

Over the past hour we have noticed winds increasing faster than
originally through over northern VA and northern MD. Expect west
winds to increase between 1100 to 1200 at the bridge site, with
sustained winds around 10 knots and gusts to 20 knots. As a
result, the Small Craft Advisory is now in effect for the Patapsco
River. These elevated winds will become west-northwest, then
northwest this afternoon, before subsiding this evening.

Light showers are starting to develop around the bridge site, and
this is expected to continue through the afternoon. Expect showers
to become numerous, with some brief moderate rainfall possible.
A thunderstorm or two is also possible this afternoon, and the
strongest storms could produce wind gusts around 25 knots.

Winds shift from northwest to more northeast early this evening,
then east late this evening. This could bring in another round of
lower clouds tonight.

Dry conditions expected Monday as winds turn south at around 10
knots.
