This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,
northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy will combine with a frontal
system draped across the area and an upper trough located over the
Great Lakes to bring widespread rain showers and thunderstorms to the
area Thursday through Saturday. Periods of heavy rainfall are
expected, especially Friday and Saturday. In addition, there is a
threat for a few severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening,
with damaging wind gusts being the main threat with any severe
thunderstorms. Localized flooding or flash flooding will be possible
in areas of heavier thunderstorms, mainly Friday and Saturday.

Widespread hazardous weather is not expected at this time during the
period Sunday through Tuesday.


Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
