Heat Wave in the Northeastern U.S.; Severe Thunderstorms and Excessive Rainfall in the Plains and Upper Midwest; Critical Fire Weather in the Southwestern U.S.

The first significant heat wave this season will impact much of the Midwest, Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast this week. Record high temperatures and rapid onset drought is possible.
