Powerful Great Lakes and Northeastern U.S. Winter Storm; Strong Winds in Southern California

A winter storm will rapidly strengthen Thursday while shifting from the Ohio Valley into southern Quebec. A swath of heavy snow and strengthening winds will shift east from the Midwest into northern New England through Thursday and will be followed by heavy lake effect snow over the eastern Great Lakes.
