...DENSE SMOKE ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKDT
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Visibility 1 mile or less in dense smoke.

* WHERE...Tanana Flats and along the Richardson Highway between
  Salcha and Birch Lake.

* WHEN...Until noon AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
  Dense smoke will have health affects on people with
  respiratory illness.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The dense smoke is expected to remain south
  of Eielson AFB. Smoke will likely thicken again late tonight.
  Winds are expected to turn northeast on Friday afternoon and
  push the smoke south over the Tanana Flats and away from the
  Richardson Highway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons with respiratory illnesses should remain indoors to avoid
inhaling smoke. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and
leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
