.PREV DISCUSSION...
SHORT TERM...Today through Friday night...Weak troughing tied
to an exiting low is supporting an extensive low-mid level
cloud field over the region this morning. Any light showers
over eastern Valley County will wrap up by late morning, though
clouds will be slow to dissipate. A second low currently off
the CA coast will continue southward today, passing by our
region with clouds and a 10-15% chance of showers along the
OR/NV border. With more sun today, most areas will run 4-8
degrees warmer than yesterday. Weak ridging under a drier
northwest flow will build into the region Thursday and Friday
warming temperatures to near normal.

LONG TERM...Saturday through Wednesday...A dry west-northwest
flow will remain over the area through the weekend keeping
temperatures at or slightly below normal. Passage of an upper
shortwave trough could increase clouds late Sunday into Monday
but minimal precipitation chances remain north of the area.
Models are indicating a warming trend next week as an upper
ridge builds onto the coast. This would push temperatures above
normal by Tuesday while keeping dry conditions in place.
