...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM EDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN CLINTON...NORTHERN GRAND ISLE AND NORTHWESTERN
FRANKLIN COUNTIES...

At 243 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Chapman Bay,
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. Waterspout or
         tornado possible.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines.

Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Alburgh Village, Swanton Village, South Alburgh, Rouses
Point, Highgate, Alburgh, Isle La Motte, Swanton, Berkshire, North
Hero, Reed Point, Wagner Point, North Hero State Park, Alburg Tongue,
Ransoms Bay, Rock River Bay, Kelly Bay, Martindale Point, and East
Franklin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for northern New
York...and northwestern Vermont.

This is a potentially deadly storm. Seek shelter in an interior room
on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. Abandon vehicles in
search of a more substantial permanent structure. Stay away from
windows.
