Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1220 PM EDT Fri Sep 20 2024

High pressure over the region will give the Keystone state
another warm and sunny late summer day. Cooler conditions are on
the way for the first day of fall on Sunday.

High temperatures this afternoon will range from the upper 70s
across the mountains, to the mid 80s elsewhere. Lows tonight will
be in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

A weak cold front over the upper Great Lakes will bring a chance
of showers and thunderstorms to Pennsylvania later tonight and all
of Saturday. Some of the storms could be on the strong side
Saturday afternoon and evening. Highs on Saturday will be mainly
in the 70s.

Showers taper off Saturday night, with only an isolated shower
over southeastern PA on Sunday. More in the way of cloud cover
will likely result in cooler temperatures on Sunday. The warmest
readings will be across far western Pennsylvania.
