Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
512 PM EDT Tue Sep 17 2024

As a broad upper trough sits over the East Coast tonight, areas of
rainfall will continue to pivot around it. The chance for light
rain across southern Pennsylvania will increase through tonight,
while the rest of the Commonwealth remains dry. Low temperatures
tonight will vary from the low 50s across the Northwest Mountains
to the mid 60s across the Lower Susquehanna Valley and adjacent
Southeastern PA.

Plenty of clouds will linger through Wednesday, with
scattered showers over mainly the south central and southeastern
portions of the Commonwealth. Rainfall will generally be light
with amounts expected to be less than a quarter of an inch through
Wednesday evening. High temperatures Wednesday will range from
the mid 60s over the ridgetops of the Laurel Highlands to the
upper 70s over parts of northern PA.

A slight chance of rain will linger across eastern Pennsylvania
Thursday and Friday, while the remainder of the Commonwealth stays
dry. Dry weather is expected to prevail over all of Pennsylvania
this weekend as the upper trough exits off the Mid Atlantic
coastline.
