Routine Fire Wx Fcst (With/Without 6-10 Day Outlook)
Issued by NWS Cheyenne, WY
Issued by NWS Cheyenne, WY
648 FNUS55 KCYS 142030 FWFCYS Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY 230 PM MDT Fri Jun 14 2024 ...WARMER AND DRIER WEATHER TO RETURN SATURDAY... .DISCUSSION... Minimal concerns today with widespread shower and thunderstorm activity, but expect elevated fire weather conditions to return tomorrow. The dry line will retreat eastward on Saturday, dropping RH to 12-18% in Wyoming, and 15-25% in Nebraska. WSW winds gusting 30-40 MPH in much of Wyoming will produce elevated to near critical fire weather conditions. Winds should remain lighter east of a line from roughly Cheyenne to Lusk. In addition, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop and bring chances for lightning and gusty winds, but rainfall will be fairly limited. Moisture will push back up against the Laramie range for Sunday and Monday, reducing fire weather concerns to the east, but it will remain quite warm, dry, and breezy to the west. Near critical fire weather conditions are likely both Sunday and Monday west of the Laramie range. NEZ434-151015- Pine Ridge/Nebraska National Forest- 230 PM MDT Fri Jun 14 2024 .TONIGHT...
