...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Minnesota, including the following
  county, Cottonwood.

* WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations continues. Numerous roads remain closed
  due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 833 AM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding from
    heavy rain continues. Between 4 and 9 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
    warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Windom, Mountain Lake, Westbrook, Jeffers, Storden, Bingham
    Lake and Delft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
