...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN MONTEZUMA AND
SOUTHEASTERN SAN JUAN COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 PM MDT...

At 1209 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles east of Red Mesa, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Aneth.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 1 and 5.
 Utah 162 between mile markers 23 and 31.
 Colorado 41 between mile markers 1 and 9.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
