...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT YUMA COUNTY THROUGH 445 PM MDT...

At 409 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles southeast of
Highland Center to 7 miles north of Cope. Movement was northeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Yuma around 415 PM MDT.

This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 226 and 269.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
northeastern Colorado...northwestern Kansas...and southwestern
Nebraska.
