At 406 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Mechanicsville, or 12 miles northeast of Darlington, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Florence, Bennettsville, Dillon, Mccoll, Latta, Quinby, Clio, Raemon, Hamer, Brownsville, Oak Grove, Bingham, Mechanicsville, Dunbar, Little Rock, Minturn, Blenheim, Tatum, Mcleod Regional Medical Center, and Mcleod Medical Center.
