Through 100 pm, a band of showers and embedded thunderstorms that has
been festering over the offshore Gulf waters looks like it is
beginning to make its move slowly to the east moving at a speed
between 5 to 10 knots. The rain has just moved into the Dry Tortugas
with rain expected for at least the next few hours. This activity
will be capable of moderate to heavy downpours reducing
visibilities, wind gusts to near 30 knots, and frequent cloud to
ground lightning strikes.
