At this time, there is a very small chance for thunderstorms east of the Cascades this afternoon, and a slightly better chance tomorrow afternoon. High pressure returns by middle of next week with triple digits possible through July 4th and into the weekend. Elevated to critical fire weather conditions could become a common theme next week, with critical fire weather possible starting Tuesday.
