.Discussion...
Above normal temperatures are expected through the weekend and into
early next week as high pressure builds over the area. Slightly
lower rain chances are forecast today and Sunday as some drier air
pins the greatest moisture content south, from Lake Okeechobee to
the Treasure Coast.
Fire sensitive weather will persist, enhanced by the daily afternoon
sea breezes, isolated to scattered lightning storms, and ongoing
drought conditions. Moisture increases gradually next week, leading
to greater coverage of rain and lightning storms.
Min RH values today will drop into the 30 percent range west of
Interstate 95, especially from the Orlando metro northward. Near
critical fire conditions may develop as the sea breezes produce
wind gusts around 15 to as high as 20 mph. Daytime dispersion
remains very good to excellent. Similar conditions are in the
forecast for Sunday and Monday, though Min RH values may remain
closer to the upper 30s and low 40s.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
