...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Cottonwood River Above Springfield affecting Brown County.

.Rounds of showers and thunderstorms have produced 1-3" of rain over
the area, leading to rising river levels. Additional chances for
heavy rain are expected throughout this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON TO LATE SUNDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cottonwood River above Springfield.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon to late Sunday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 830 PM CDT Monday, the stage was 19.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 25.2 feet Thursday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    25.1 feet on 06/01/2004.
