New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A low pressure trough and
associated weak cold front will slowly approach the coast from
the W today, then pass across the waters tonight before weakening
on Tue. Low pressure will pass SE of Georges Bank Tue night
before moving E of the waters Wed while weak high pressure builds
E towards the area. The high will then pass just S of the region
Wed night into Thu night before shifting E of the waters Fri and
Fri night. A cold front will approach the coast by late Fri, then
move offshore Fri night.

.TODAY...W winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SW. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
Isolated showers.
.TONIGHT...W to SW winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
.TUE...Variable winds less than 10 kt, becoming SW. Seas 3 to
4 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...S winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming variable. Seas 3 to
