New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A high pressure ridge will
persist just S and SE of the waters through Thu. A cold front
will move S over the region Thu night into Fri, then weaken and
stall along 40N Fri night. The front will return N as a warm
front Sat into Sat night, lifting N of the waters early Sun. The
next cold front will approach from the NW by later Sun night.

.TONIGHT...SW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Isolated
showers and tstms.
