.Short term...
Latest satellite data shows a line of mid to upper level clouds as
a cold front passes through the Islands. Breezy south winds are
evident pushing the front up north. Following behind the cold
front is cooler air, which may drop temperatures overnight.
Thereafter a ridge will produce breezy trades through the new
week with showers embedded within the trade wind flow.

.Long term...
Model solutions show the aforementioned high pressure system
maintaining the moderate to fresh trades for the rest of the
forecast period. Showers embedded within the trade wind flow will
continue for the rest of the forecast period.

Marine...
Observations reported from the PacIOOS buoy near Aunu`u show wave
heights within the 5 to 7 feet range with peak periods around 12
to 14 seconds long. Although wave heights are below advisory
thresholds of 8 feet, a small craft advisory is in effect due to
current winds of 15 to 20 mph. However, the aforementioned ridge
will still produce moderate to fresh southerlies tonight through
the new week.
