...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN VANCE AND NORTHERN
GRANVILLE COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM EDT...

At 645 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles north of Oxford, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, heavy rain and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Heavy rain may lead to localized
         flooding especially in poor drainage locations. Minor hail
         damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Oxford, Stovall, Berea, Dabney, Tungsten, and John H Kerr Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
