A complex of showers and thunderstorms has resulted in considerably
cooler temperatures across much of Northeast Texas, Southern
Arkansas, and Northwest Louisiana. Thus, the Heat Advisory has been
cancelled.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 degrees.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Louisiana and east
  Texas.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A complex of showers and thunderstorms will
  continue to shift south southeast across Deep East Texas and
  Northcentral Louisiana this afternoon, which will result in
  considerably cooler temperatures. Thus, the Heat Advisory may be
  cancelled early.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
