NORTHWESTERN SHACKELFORD AND NORTHWESTERN THROCKMORTON COUNTIES THROUGH 200 AM CDT... At 1258 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Stamford, moving north at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Haskell, Stamford, Rule, Rochester, Weinert, O`Brien, Irby, Paint Creek, Sagerton, Avoca, Lake Stamford Marina, Tuxedo, Us- 277 Near The Haskell-Knox County Line, Jud, and Us- 380 Near The Haskell-Stonewall County Line. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
