If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Gusty southwest winds, especially along exposed ridgelines, with poor overnight recoveries are expected again tonight. Southwest winds will increase once again for all areas on Monday after 1000 ahead of a very strong cold front. This cold front will cross the burn site after 1600 Monday, bringing an abrupt wind shift to the north to northwest. Winds will shift with time toward a more north to northeasterly direction behind the front through 0300. Peak winds behind the front are currently expected to range between 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph, strongest in areas with northerly aspects/exposure to the north, continuing for 1 to 3 hours after frontal passage. Winds will decrease after 0300...but another dry day is expected Tuesday, with humidities once again falling to near 14-18%.
