.DISCUSSION...An area of low pressure currently located over Nevada
will track near the Utah/Idaho border on Tuesday, bringing a
strong cold front through the area late tonight. Ahead of the
front, in the dry environment, showers with isolated thunderstorms
will maintain a gusty wind threat this evening. Bands of showers
with embedded thunderstorms along and behind the cold front will
develop mid-morning Tuesday, and continue into the early afternoon
hours, before being replaced with isolated to scattered showers
and thunderstorms later in the afternoon. This activity will
gradually diminish Tuesday night, with only isolated showers on
Wednesday. However, temperatures will be cool with excellent RH
recovery. Another area of low pressure will move across the area
Thursday and Friday, maintaining cool, showery conditions. Current
indications suggest the best chance of wetting rains after
Tuesday is Friday.
