116 FNUS75 KSLC 150350 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for Rudd Creek...Usfs National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 950 PM MDT Sat Sep 14 2024 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 2100 MDT on September 14. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Southerly flow will begin to increase tonight as a trough moves into the Pacific Northwest. This will strengthen into a strong area of low pressure over Nevada on Monday, and move along or near the Utah/Idaho border on Tuesday. Look for southerly flow to increase further on Sunday, and the initial subtle increases in moisture will arrive during the late afternoon, with the first chance of isolated showers arriving after 1500, with isolated showers and an isolated thunderstorm continuing through around 2200. With this activity being on the drier side, gusty, outflow winds will be the main threat, and worst-case scenario gusts with these are in the 40-50 mph range. Isolated to scattered showers and storms are then expected Monday afternoon, mainly after 1400, with a similar gusty wind threat, although worst-case scenario gusts are higher, or in the 50-60 mph range. Good RH recovery then arrives Tuesday, along with cool, showery conditions. Cool, showery conditions will then persist through Friday. .TONIGHT...
