Subject: Addition of NWS Common Alerting Protocol version 1.2
messages to NOAA Weather Wire Service Open Interface (NWWS-OI):
Effective on or around September 3, 2024

On or around September 3, 2024, the NOAA Weather Wire Service,
Open Interface (NWWS-OI) was updated to start disseminating
Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) version 1.2 messages.  This
change will result, on average, in an additional 1200 messages
per day being provided on the feed.  During active weather
situations the number of CAP messages could reach 2,000 per day.
