Hot and dry conditions will prevail across West Central Texas
through the next 24 hours. An upper level ridge stretching from West
Texas to Baja California will continue to dominate the weather
across the forecast area. Highs will be a few degrees above seasonal
normals, in the mid to upper 90s. Overnight lows will be in the 70s.
No rain is forecast through Friday.

Expect mainly hot and dry conditions through the long term as an
upper level ridge builds across the Southern Plains. However, low
level moisture advection will keep temperatures down a little, but
result in humid conditions. Expect heat index values of 100 to 103
Monday and Tuesday, especially across the Heartland and Concho
Valley. Highs will be in the 90s to around 100 with lows only
cooling into the 70s. Please follow heat safety precautions.
