255 FNAK79 PAFG 281443 FWSAFG Spot Forecast for 300 Lookout...Alaska Fire Service National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 643 AM AKDT Fri Jun 28 2024 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 0800 AKDT on June 28. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening then diminish overnight. Any thunderstorm will have the potential to produce hail, heavy rain, frequent lightning and gusty winds to 40 mph. Temperatures will be warm, in the mid 70s but mind RHs remain relatively wet in the mid 40s%. Similar story tomorrow in terms of the temps and RH, but the bulk of the thunderstorms will be moving north and east leaving only an isolated storm chance near the fire. However, any storm can still bring gusty, erratic wind gusts to 40 mph and frequent lightning. Otherwise, cooler and potentially wetter weather looks probable towards next week. .REST OF TODAY...
