Northwestern Litchfield County in northern Connecticut... East central Dutchess County in east central New York... * Until 445 PM EDT. * At 406 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Millbrook, or 15 miles north of Pawling, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Amenia, Kent, Sharon, Millbrook, New Preston, Cornwall Bridge, Dover Plains, Warren, Cornwall, Lithgow, Hoxie Corner, Skiff Mountain, South Amenia, Shunpike, Bains Corner, North Kent, Mabbettsville, Verbank, Bulls Bridge, and Camby. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
