At 606 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Lowman, or near Chemung, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Chemung, Elmira, Southport, Barton, Sayre, Waverly, Owego, Athens, Ridgebury, and Berkshire. This includes the following highway exits... Interstate 86/Route 17 between 57 and 66.
