...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ESSEX AND
NORTHWESTERN ADDISON COUNTIES THROUGH 115 PM EDT...

At 1229 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
D A R State Park, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Middlebury, Vergennes, Moriah, Westport, Ferrisburg, Weybridge,
Waltham, New Haven, Panton, Port Henry, Addison, D A R State Park,
Bridport, Ferrisburgh, Monkton, Cornwall, Bristol, Owls Head Bay,
North West Bay, and Mud Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

If on or near Lake Champlain near Chimney Point, get out of the
water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can
strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to
safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
