...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN ORLEANS AND
NORTHEASTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 100 PM EDT...

At 1209 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Montgomery Center, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newport City, Orleans, Jay, Newport Town, Jay In Franklin County,
Irasburg, Westfield, Orleans Village, Newport Center, North Troy
Village, Montgomery Center, Richford, Montgomery, Coventry, Troy,
Lowell, Albany, Derby, Barton, and Glover.

This includes Interstate 91 between mile markers 158 and 165, and
near mile marker 169.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
