Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
150 PM EDT Tue Jun 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions with seasonable temperatures and below normal
moisture through Thursday. Increasing moisture toward the end of the
week into the weekend will bring daily chances for showers and
thunderstorms, favoring the southeastern portion of the area. Winds
will continue to be out of the east Wednesday, shifting a bit more
northeasterly Thursday and Friday. Higher coverage of afternoon
showers and thunderstorms is expected early next week.

Fog potential for tonight: Patchy fog is possible mainly near area
lakes and rivers.
