...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN BOX BUTTE AND
SOUTHEASTERN DAWES COUNTIES THROUGH 1100 PM MDT...

At 959 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles east of Box Butte Reservoir, or 21 miles southwest of Hay
Springs, moving north at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Box
Butte and southeastern Dawes Counties, including the following
locations... Chadron State Park Campground and Box Butte Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 AM MDT for
the Panhandle of Nebraska.
