This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Showers and scattered thunderstorms will move over the region
tonight. Some may produce brief heavy rainfall and ponding of
water.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Thursday

A Flood Watch for excessive rainfall has been issued for the area.
Please visit weather.gov/dmx for more details.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue across northern portions
of the area on Friday. Severe weather is possible across the far
north, with damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall the
primary risks. A flash flooding threat will increase over the area
Friday evening into Saturday morning.

Additional storm chances return by the middle of next week.

Spotters may be needed at times Friday and Friday night into
Saturday. Severe weather reports, reports of rainfall and any
flooding would be appreciated.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

Showers and a few thunderstorms will continue moving northeast
this evening across southeast Iowa. Brief heavy downpours will be
possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Thursday

Showers and thunderstorms will continue across northern portions
of the area on Friday; possibly drifting into portions of central
Iowa. Severe weather is possible with a few storms. Damaging
winds and locally heavy rainfall the primary risks. Additional
chances for storms exist on Saturday with strong to severe storms
possible.

Additional storm chances return by the middle of next week.
