...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Lake Huron from Port Austin to Harbor Beach 5NM Off Shore to the
  US/Canadian border...

At 1035 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing winds up to 30 knots and small hail. This
thunderstorm was located 15 nm southeast of Central Lake Huron Buoy,
moving northeast at 30 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds up to 30 knots, locally higher waves,
and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately
until this storm passes.

Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
