...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN MERCER AND SOUTHWESTERN HENRY COUNTIES...

At 839 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Andover to near Rio, moving east at 45 mph. There is
also some weak rotation near the town of Alpha with this storm.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Cambridge, Woodhull, Alpha, Sherrard, Andover, Cable, New Windsor,
Lynn Center, Henry County Fairgrounds, Ophiem, Swedona, Nekoma, and
Griffin.

This includes Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 22 and
33.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
