.SYNOPSIS FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WATERS...Northerly winds will
continue to strengthen today across the outer waters and downwind
of Cape Mendocino, with the strongest winds likely this
afternoon. Locally gale force gusts is expected to continue
downwind of Cape Mendocino. Winds will begin to ease slightly
over the weekend as a trough moves through. However, winds are
forecast to remain elevated over the southern waters. Widespread
strong to near gale force winds and very steep, hazardous seas is
forecast for early-mid next week.
