...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of eastern Clarke and
Oglethorpe Counties through 300 PM EDT...

At 226 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Arnoldsville, or 7
miles northwest of Lexington, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lexington, Winterville, Crawford, Arnoldsville, Athens-Clarke County,
Stephens, Dunlap, Smithonia, Point Peter, and Hutchings.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
