At 245 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19 miles southwest of Meeker, or 44 miles northwest of Glenwood Springs, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Rio Blanco County. This includes Colorado 13 between mile markers 24 and 27. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding.
