...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN THOMAS...SHERIDAN...
SOUTHEASTERN RAWLINS AND DECATUR COUNTIES THROUGH 930 PM CDT...

At 853 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles south of Herndon to 8 miles south of
Hoxie. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Hoxie and Selden around 900 PM CDT.
  Dresden around 905 PM CDT.
  Oberlin around 910 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
northwestern and west central Kansas.
